Terms & Conditions
These terms cover your use of adeptops.dev and the assistant on it. They are not the contract for a paid engagement. Paid work is governed by a separate written agreement, and where that agreement and this page disagree, the agreement wins.
Who you are dealing with
This site is operated by AdeptOps, a trading name of JD Holdings LLC, a limited liability company registered in the United States and based in Long Beach, California. Contact: josh@adeptops.dev.
Using the site
You may read this site, use the assistant and submit the contact form. You may not attempt to break, overload, scrape at volume, probe or gain unauthorised access to any part of it or the systems behind it, use it to send anything unlawful, or attempt to manipulate the assistant into ignoring its instructions or revealing how it is configured.
Both the assistant and the contact form are rate limited. Access may be withdrawn from anyone abusing them, without notice.
The assistant is not advice
It can be wrong.
The assistant answers from an approved knowledge base and from general knowledge about AI and automation. It is an AI system, and AI systems produce confident, fluent, incorrect answers. Do not treat what it says as a statement of fact about AdeptOps or as guidance you should act on.
It cannot commit anyone to anything.
Nothing it says is an offer, a quote, a price, a delivery date, a warranty or a contractual promise. It is specifically instructed not to give prices or timelines, and if it ever appears to, that is a fault and it does not bind AdeptOps.
It is not professional advice.
Nothing on this site or from the assistant is legal, financial, tax, compliance or accounting advice. Take proper advice before acting on anything described here.
Do not send it anything sensitive.
Messages are stored and are processed by a third-party model provider. Do not paste confidential information, personal data about other people, or credentials into it.
Case studies and figures
The results described on this site come from real work, and each figure is stated with the conditions it was measured under. Figures from a test set say so; figures from production say so. They describe what happened on that work, with that data, and are not a prediction of what would happen on yours.
Client names appear with permission. Nothing on this site discloses any client's own customers, their documents, or the internal rules, thresholds or formulas of any system built for them.
Intellectual property
The content, design, code and graphics on this site belong to JD Holdings LLC. You may quote or link to it with attribution. You may not copy the site wholesale, or reuse the design or code to build a competing offering.
For paid engagements, ownership of what is built is set out in the written agreement. As standard, the client owns the deliverables produced specifically for them, and AdeptOps retains ownership of the general methods, tooling and pre-existing components used to build them.
How engagements start
Nothing on this site is an offer capable of acceptance. Submitting the form starts a conversation, nothing more. Work begins only when a written agreement is signed, scope and price are stated in it, and the paid diagnostic that normally precedes a build is itself covered by that agreement.
Availability and liability
This site and the assistant are provided as they are. There is no guarantee that either will be available, uninterrupted or error free, and either may change or be withdrawn at any time.
To the fullest extent the law allows, JD Holdings LLC is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, data or business, arising from your use of this site or reliance on anything the assistant says. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to one hundred United States dollars. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
This does not affect the liability terms of a signed engagement, which are negotiated separately.
Links
This site links to demonstrations and third-party services. Those are outside AdeptOps' control and their own terms and privacy policies apply.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, and the state and federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California have exclusive jurisdiction. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
Changes
These terms may change; the date at the top changes with them. Continuing to use the site after a change means accepting the current version.
